Andrew Langford and his didgeridoos take you on the start of a worldwide musical journey, with his friend Amit, a renowned percussionist from the Middle East. Andrew and Amit explore Egyptian, Arabic, Moroccan and Islamic drum rhythms with the didgeridoo. Using Tar drums, Darbukas and Moroccan tebilates, the pair trek across the deserts following the great caravan routes through Morocco, bargain at the crowded bazaars of Tangiers, skedaddle down the back alleyways of the spice stalls. Take your sense of curiosity with you and listen to this rich tapestry of sound. Fly then to the mountains of Switzerland and let the high peaks of the Alps echo the sounds of the didgeridoo and precise percussion movement of George, a Swiss national who travelled Australia and recorded at Andrew Langfords Sounds of Starlight Theatre in Alice Springs, a series of tracks that contribute to the rhythms of this album.
